However, the second time I wore them, I yanked the straps on the side (which are known as bootstraps for pulling them on) and the stitching ripped. Not a big deal. I can drop them at the shoe store to get it enforced, but I shouldn't have to go through that with brand new boots. They are slightly tight on the arch, but I do have a very high arch. The steel toe goes unrecognizable, which is important during wear. The leather is nice and besides the straps, the construction is nice, but original Drs were much nicer. I originally ordered this shoe in a 6; it felt a little short on my toes but still comfortable. I called Zappos but had just 2 days before I was to leave for Europe. It was after their cut-off time for shipping shoes out the same day but they did it anyway and overnighted the 6 1/2 to me at their own expense!!!!! Who does that?!!!!! I am amazed!!! In addition, they did not charge me for the second pair & ask only that I return the first pair in the next 14 days or so. These shoes are very comfy and go great with capris. Zappos saved the day for me and I am a fan for life!
