After wearing the shoes at home for only an hour or so, I wore them to a very long wedding day celebration. They were completely comfortable the entire day. Having a very narrow foot, I am so appreciative of the extensive line of Stuart Weitzman shoes available for both casual and dress wear. Another unusual "feature" is that when expanded, the wallet is within microns of bill sized... so it makes for difficult cramming of monies. I've taken to folding my bills and keeping large bills on one side and small bills on the other. This is more of a fashion wallet than a practical wallet, but it suits my needs. Seems sturdy. I ordered these hiking shoes right before a week in the Smokys, so they came out of the box and went immediately on the trail. They were absolutely the most comfortable hiking shoes I've ever worn. It rained some while we were on the trail and the shoes had great traction, even on slippery, wet rocks. I also ordered these same shoes for my daughters in the youth sizes. Their shoes performed equally well in the mountains. In fact, they prefer them to their tennis shoes at home. They are the true workhorse in my shoe wardrobe. I bought them to take to Italy last August for a BackRoads cycling tour of Tuscany. They were the perfect "stylish" walking shoe and provided wonderful support. The sole is comfortable. I can function in this shoe all day, but I would like it better if the heel were softer such as Softspots shoes.
