I was looking for a light weight mesh sneaker that would hold my orthotics and these are just perfect. Had several foot surgeries and my foot still swells after prolonged standing. The toe box has plenty of room both side to side and up and down. The mesh seems to have more give. The first day I wore them, they were a little stiff, but after that became nice and soft. I have worn them all day without any problems. I only wish they had a little bit more arch support. I got them just before going on a trip to San Francisco. I walked all over in them and my feet never hurt. They look great with jeans, capris and a skirt/ or dress. I have another pair of DJP shoes and these are more comfortable. I will have to look for another style in black too. I love the pewter color though. If you wear a Euro 39, you should buy their 40, which translates into a 10! Likely good for the calf but makes me walk like a duck and so not a great match. But a pretty sandal and one of the nicer strappy options for those who want a good for you summer shoe. Africa, hoping to have a walking sandal that could withstand hours on the road. However, I have found that the footing is slippery and my foot slides back and forth, making walking unsteady. I would not recommend this sandal for walking, but it is comfortable otherwise and attractive.
