However, the second time I wore them, I yanked the straps on the side (which are known as bootstraps for pulling them on) and the stitching ripped. Not a big deal. I can drop them at the shoe store to get it enforced, but I shouldn't have to go through that with brand new boots. They are slightly tight on the arch, but I do have a very high arch. The steel toe goes unrecognizable, which is important during wear. The leather is nice and besides the straps, the construction is nice, but original Drs were much nicer. I have used driving mocs before but I wanted a sporty shoe. I first ordered a size 9. Too tight in the toe box and narrow. Reordered a size 9.5, a little better. Drove 7 hours, never did my foot slide off the pedal. Once again, I started getting pain in the toe box and the shoe felt like it was a visor. I could not wait to get out of the car and put my old Keds on. I did use them to drive back home. All I can say is try them if you like them. It might be my particular problem. || Ambiguous - V Grip Jeans (After Dark) - Apparel I was looking for a basic pair of comfortable sandals, bought these based on other reviews, and have been very satisfied. The one issue I have with them might end up resolving itself shortly – I sometimes find that the strap across the ankle feels tight, and it's difficult to get it loose enough. It is, however, a hot June in Colorado, and I'm due to give birth any day now, so I'm wondering if my feet and ankles aren't swelling slightly by the end of the day. Otherwise, they're quite comfortable. I ordered a half size smaller than I normally would, also based on what others said, and found that to be just the right choice. || Ambiguous - V Grip Jeans (After Dark) - Apparel PERFECT SHOE - I truly love these flip-flops. I teach 2nd grade and have had bunion surgery and I was able to wear this sandal all day (no break-in time). I love the height and color of the boots. I ordered the chocolate ones and they hide any dirt or water stains. You just have to be careful if you wear them in the rain, if it happens to me, I just make sure they stay up straight to avoid set-in wrinkles. Shipping was fast too. Overall I love them and look forward to wearing them again once it gets cold!
