These are expensive for a reason. They are very well made, have a great look, a comfortable footbed, and a sturdy sole. However... they cut my heels open every time. I wish I could get used to them as I've heard you're supposed to, but they are just painful. Very disappointing. I marked "half size larger" because I bought an 8.5 and have since been wearing a 9 and they still feel like they fit. || Birkenstock - Alabama (Taupe Suede) - Footwear Had to order the 2nd pr to get my size right, but I have very slim feet so wasn't sure which size to order. I'm still getting used to the straps (adjustment and fit) just like I did on my Chacos similar to these. I purchased the dark orange color. Beautiful! I have several pairs of Keens and these do not disappoint. They are very comfortable! || Birkenstock - Alabama (Taupe Suede) - Footwear Quality is lacking - I gave these shoes to someone as a gift. They were moderately comfortable, but needed a little breaking-in. The biggest disappointment came a few short months later when the treads completely wore down. The rubber is much too soft. So in the matter of two months of moderate wear, the tread is nonexistent and the cork is exposed. These shoes might be best for someone who plans to use them as slippers, indoors only. || Birkenstock - Alabama (Taupe Suede) - Footwear Oh so comfy! I have to be honest… when I first saw them, I wanted to send them back. They look too big and kind of clunky on your feet, even though they're very lightweight, but once I put them on and wore them for about an hour, I was in love. I then heated them as recommended and I have to tell you, they are the most comfortable flip-flops I've ever worn. I'm sure I'll be buying more colors soon! I still wish they looked a bit more streamlined. The sole is fantastic, no slipping on wet surfaces. || Birkenstock - Alabama (Taupe Suede) - Footwear Rockport Farren - Typical Rockport Dressport quality. The square toe makes my smaller, high-arched feet look longer and slimmer. Only downside is that for a W width, it's a bit narrower than the round-toed wing-tips I usually by in the Dressport line (e.g. Addington). I'd by one width wider next time. Zappos order processing was (as usual) superb, and lightning fast. || Birkenstock - Alabama (Taupe Suede) - Footwear Comfort, comfort and comfort - I don’t have to ask my husband, I can see myself how comfortable these shoes are. He says he forgets he wears shoes at all, they are like air and very comfy. Great look and comfort for summer. Super speed on delivery. Great service. || Birkenstock - Alabama (Taupe Suede) - Footwear Strappy summery and versatile - Was looking for a strappy metallic sandal...What a beautiful and versatile shoe. The color is fantastic...a burnished gold/bronze and very soft supple leather that feels great immediately. Not much to the shoe but really something to look at and just perfect for shorts/skirts as a nicer alternative to flip-flops or with summer sundresses or could even dress up for dinner out in the heat wave we're having. Pricey but seem well made with good materials. Just love em.
