The bumpy texture of the bottom (sole) feels good on your feet. The only negative thing about the shoe is the heel - it was stiff and cut into the back of my heel somewhat making it necessary for me to put band-aids on the backs of my heels to protect them! || Birkenstock - Alabama (Terracotta Waxed Nubuck) - Footwear First of all, these shoes look a lot cleaner in person. I usually go through a pair of shoes in about 3-4 weeks, these lasted me about 2 months. The solid suede toe cap was perfect and it takes a lot to get rid of it. || Birkenstock - Alabama (Terracotta Waxed Nubuck) - Footwear Loved the shoe - I have done quite a bit of walking and my feet never were tired. I read the reviews about ordering the shoe a half size larger than my actual shoe size. I purchased it for my honeymoon and walked around quite a bit. The only SLIGHT problem was that if my foot was not entirely slid in, the top of the shoe rubbed on the top of my foot. Got these in yellow - it's a bright canary yellow just like the photo… and they are fabulous! Compliments all around - but not for the shy and retiring. The lightweight canvas (and colour) make them the perfect spring/summer boots. Great Zappos service, as usual. || Birkenstock - Alabama (Terracotta Waxed Nubuck) - Footwear Rockport Farren - Typical Rockport Dressport quality. The square toe makes my smaller, high-arched feet look longer and slimmer. Only downside is that for a W width, it's a bit narrower than the round-toed wing-tips I usually by in the Dressport line (e.g. Addington). I'd by one width wider next time. I would have liked this shoe in a brown nubuck or at least more of these types of options. || Birkenstock - Alabama (Terracotta Waxed Nubuck) - Footwear Great shoe - Felt a bit stiff and weird at first (like they were "pushing" my feet forward, if that makes any sense), but after breaking them in, I love them. Great support, very comfortable.
