The platform under the forefoot enables me to wear these shoes. I love them! Sole is not as flexible as other Donald Pliner shoes, so they do not bend a much when you walk. As such, I would not classify this as my most comfortable pair and I actually got some small blisters the first time out. Decor on sides of shoe sole is impressive. I have wide feet and it is extremely difficult finding comfortable shoes where I live. I normally require a wide width, however when ordering these shoes I decided to get a WW because my feet tend to swell in the summer. The fit is fabulous. I plan to order the navy as well. No more high heels for me and I don't want to wear granny shoes! These are really stylish. I got them in the gold. They fit perfectly and they are great on my foot. I wish that they had more arch support, but I will just have to wear them in a little bit and deal with it. My normal shoe size is 15 but these in size 14 fit perfectly. These shoes are comfortable and cute. I was frustrated because I had been having trouble finding a pair of flat, comfortable, good-for-my-feet summer shoes that weren't ugly. These did the trick.
