They took about a week to break in, esp. around the toe, but they did not rub enough to cause a blister. Slightly modified from the original... The Half Cab "Pro" has a polyurethane insole (same as AV Sk8 Lo or the TNT 2 shoes) and just slightly more padding in the tongue. Both are good things! After more than 15 years, this shoe still holds its own in terms of boardfeel, protection, and style. I was frustrated because I had been having trouble finding a pair of flat, comfortable, good-for-my-feet summer shoes that weren't ugly. These did the trick.
