There is not as much of a cushioning feel as I wish there was (it's more stiff). I tried this in 7.5 WW first because I'd been ordering shoes in W. Finding them too tight (normally I get a 7.5 W), I had to return this and as it seemed a little long... I read the reviews about ordering the shoe a half size larger than my actual shoe size. If you wear a Euro 39, you should buy their 40, which translates into a 10! My normal shoe size is 15 but these in size 14 fit perfectly. I've had ankle surgery and find it hard to get shoes that are comfortable. These are the first pair of sandals since my surgery 3 years ago that I can wear all day. Wore them at the beach and couldn't ask for a better shoe. They did rub a small blister because they were wet. Once they dried, not another problem. Great shoe.
