I teach 2nd grade and have had bunion surgery and I was able to wear this sandal all day (no break-in time). I bought a wide and it still pinches my toes and is too tight everywhere else except for the strap! This shoe is not comfortable at all and I would not recommend it to anyone. If I would have went to a bigger size and width, it would have been extremely big as to where the strap always falls off now as it is. One negative, the strap where they are attached to the sole is fraying and it appears to be a stitching defect. I should have sent them back, but I just decided not to bother. Overall, I like ‘em. Disappointing - I bought these shoes online, thinking they were gonna be so sick, I was so let down with this shoe. First off the tongue is WAY TOO THICK, I had to cut the top of the tongue and remove the padding just to make it wearable. The toe box is too small, it hurt my toes, it’s way too bulky, and it felt way too small! The best shoe I’ve ever had was the Reynolds 2, and this shoe is a big disappointment. Get a 1/2 or 1 size larger... || Birkenstock - Arizona Suede (Unisex) (Redwood Suede) - Footwear Feminine, practical, and comfortable - Finally, an alternative to the Keens that are cut far too wide for my foot, which is not even especially narrow. I wear a size 11 and most athletic style shoes make my feet look even bigger. I think that's because many shoe manufacturers think a large-sized women's fit is the same shape as a man's foot, but that is definitely not the case: The proportions are totally different. J-41 seems to know the difference. Great service. || Birkenstock - Arizona Suede (Unisex) (Redwood Suede) - Footwear Chaco comfort - I like the shoe very much, however, am finding it hard to "break it in" in terms of getting the webbing to stay loose enough around the toe. I am constantly adjusting it. I even went swimming in them in hopes that thoroughly wetting them would help (I think it did somewhat). They do provide great sole support and help prevent slipping on rocks.
