All Birki's shoes and sandals are made in Germany using environmentally-friendly process and proven craftsmanship. Most Birkenstock and Birki's footbeds are crafted from a cork-latex mixture. The cork used is 100% renewable and sustainable harvested from the Oak tree. The harvesting of the cork does not harm the Oak Tree and allows for new bark to grow back beginning the life cycle all over again. Each contoured footbed will molds and shapes to your foot with the heat of your body creating a custom footbed that supports and cradles each and every step. Love this sandal, it is cute and oooh so comfortable, very sturdy, and well made. Break in was a little rough as I don’t normally wear a thong sandal, but it was not unbearable. I’m still not sure they’re worth the money. (Zappos has the lowest price though. I love Zappos!) Pluses: Does seem to work butt and core a little more than regular shoes. Very comfortable. Also looks groovy with workout attire. And the added height is nice. Minuses: Isn’t helping my plantar fasciitis. Can be slippery since your outsole is never completely flat on the ground. Not great for standing in place without leaning against anything, since you rock back and forth like a tipsy person. Tips for sizing: I wear a 7W and bought a 7.5M so my toes wouldn’t come too close to the front edge when foot rolls forward. Make sure you adjust the straps so your heel is as far back as possible, so you can really get the full rolling effect. || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Men's Well worth it! I ordered some other platform shoes on Zappos (RSVP and Type Z) and had to return 3 pairs of them because they were stiff, uncomfortable and had a very steep rise. Although these are more expensive than those other brands, they are well worth it! They fit beautifully and are gorgeous!! Michael Kors gets it right. || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Men's The shoe is not true to width. I wear a narrow shoe, ordered a narrow, and this shoe is WAY too wide; my toes slide right off the end of the toe box. Very disappointed as other sizes in narrow were not available in the same color. || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Men's First time Zappos order - This is the first time I purchased from Zappos and the experience was great!!! I was really pleased to get my order quickly and I will definitely purchase through Zappos again. The Clarks Bethany sandal is very comfortable, cushioned, and attractive - I've received many compliments on this item. It looks great with capris, pants, skirts. I bought the tan leather, which is a nice neutral. || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Men's Merrell Jungle Moc - I have lived in Merrell Jungle Mocs for over 9 years now. They are the most comfortable shoe! I wear them year round! Good support, all day comfort and so easy on and off! Imagine my elation to have Zappos finally carry them!!! Thanks Zappos! You're the best! || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Men's Versatile and Comfortable - I bought these shoes for a trip that I'm going on where it's going to be HOT and I'll be walking a lot...and then I'll be attending a wedding. I want to pack as little as possible...so I bought these shoes that I think are cute enough to wear with my party dress...and super comfortable for all day touring around. So far, I've been wearing them all over NYC...and not 1 blister yet! Definitely can't say that for very many pairs of brand new shoes!
