All Birki's shoes and sandals are made in Germany using environmentally-friendly process and proven craftsmanship. Most Birkenstock and Birki's footbeds are crafted from a cork-latex mixture. The cork used is 100% renewable and sustainable harvested from the Oak tree. The harvesting of the cork does not harm the Oak Tree and allows for new bark to grow back beginning the life cycle all over again. Each contoured footbed will molds and shapes to your foot with the heat of your body creating a custom footbed that supports and cradles each and every step. He says "they are comfortable and they look cool". I think all the different prints let them express their individuality. We actually bought a white pair a couple of months ago for a school function. Ok, well I can only give the name of this shoe 1 star for originality; however, this pair gets the full 5 Stars for comfort, looks, and durability. I'm rough on walking shoes. Here in NYC we walk- a lot. These were purchased primarily for transportation but I’ve been wearing them everywhere because they're just fun and so easy to slip into. Would have loved them in white with brown soles; just like an old school summer favorite from my childhood. Look great with casual as well work clothes. Good pick. I'm haaaaaaaaappy! || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Unisex Comfy flip flops - This shoe, albeit incredibly ugly, was great for walking around the beach on my honeymoon. I had no discomfort except for the ugly appearance. Good for comfort, bad for matching clothes. || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Unisex Comfort and a Great Price - Considering the type of shoe this is, the appearance is very nice. Although the shoe has excellent support, it's not heavy in weight which many good walking shoes seem to be. I find it very comfortable with or without my orthotics. I had seen the shoe locally; however, Zappos had the best price on it, and you can't beat their delivery policy! I've ordered several times from Zappos without a problem! || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Unisex Gorgeous! Got these in yellow - it's a bright canary yellow just like the photo… and they are fabulous! Compliments all around - but not for the shy and retiring. The lightweight canvas (and colour) make them the perfect spring/summer boots. Great Zappos service, as usual. || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Unisex Great sandals - My 4 year old loves these sandals. They are comfortable and keep his feet cool. I took a spare pair, but didn't need them! Perfect fit. || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Unisex Wedding Shoes - I cannot tell you how utterly amazed and impressed I was. I never order anything online, but this time I decided to take a chance as I wanted some pretty shoes to wear to my niece's wedding. I have such big feet, it is hard to find shoes in stores. When I placed the order the first time, I accidentally ordered the width wrong and I just called and they sent me out the correct pair right away and it didn't even affect my credit card.
