The cork used is 100% renewable and sustainable harvested from the Oak tree. The harvesting of the cork does not harm the Oak Tree and allows for new bark to grow back beginning the life cycle all over again. Each contoured footbed will molds and shapes to your foot with the heat of your body creating a custom footbed that supports and cradles each and every step. But they are way cute!!! || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Women's Great Driving Shoe - I purchased this shoe for a long driving trip. I have used driving mocs before but I wanted a sporty shoe. I first ordered a size 9. Too tight in the toe box and narrow. Reordered a size 9.5, a little better. Drove 7 hours, never did my foot slide off the pedal. Once again, I started getting pain in the toe box and the shoe felt like it was a visor. I could not wait to get out of the car and put my old Keds on. I did use them to drive back home. All I can say is try them if you like them. It might be my particular problem. || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Women's Most comfortable golf shoe I've ever owned. I bought a pair of these to replace an aging pair of Footjoys. I have always worn Footjoys but came across a good deal on these. I like Adidas running shoes, so I thought I would give them a try. They fit like house slippers. Just walking around the driving range the first time I wore them I was amazed how soft and broken in the felt. If these hold up like my Footjoys did, I will have a new brand of golf shoe. Overall quality seems very high and well made. Has the look of a dressier golf shoe with the comfort of a tennis style golf shoe. I bought the white with metal, which looks a little dressier and sharp. Excellent traction as well. Adidas makes a nice soft spike. || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Women's Great shoe - The shoe is extremely comfortable and stylish! Great for both summer and winter wear. || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Women's A less comfortable Easy Spirit - I like this sandal, but I wish the material used for the sole was more comfortable. There is not as much of a cushioning feel as I wish there was (it's more stiff). I tried this in 7.5 WW first because I'd been ordering shoes in W. Finding them too tight (normally I get a 7.5 W), I had to return this and as it seemed a little long... I got 7 W which fit perfectly. || Birkenstock: Birkenstock Shoes: Women's Best Hiker I've Ever Owned - I have wide feet and find most work and walking boots unsatisfactory for working in the mountains where we live. The Hi-Tec has proven to give me stability, traction, and comfort whatever I'm doing. Work or play, in it all day, and it's wonderful. I love it and bought a second pair for when my first pair wears out.
