If you are patient enough to reconfigure the lacing on these, you've won half the battle. I probably wouldn't have had to work so hard at adjusting them had I paid attention to the other reviewers who stated that the shoes run VERY LARGE. They do. Definitely order a size down from your usual. The insoles on these are incredible, they really do feel like walking on marshmallows after you have worn them for a few weeks. I get stopped constantly by people wanting to know where I got them. Still, the lacing is a pain and in order for the shoe to fit correctly, you pretty much have to work on it to some degree every time you put your feet in them. If these didn't have a back and were just a slide, it would eliminate that. I have never worn them for water sports, but they are very grippy on pavement, rocks, clutch pedals, you name it. The insole is great, they are a unique-looking shoe, but overall pricey for what they are. || Birkenstock - Boston Suede (Taupe Suede) - Footwear I love this shoe! Merrells are always great. I needed a comfortable shoe because I have a broken toe. I saw this and knew it was perfect. And it is. They took about a week to break in, esp. around the toe, but they did not rub enough to cause a blister. Now I can wear them every day they are so comfy. || Birkenstock - Boston Suede (Taupe Suede) - Footwear Squishy shoe after only a couple weeks - Very comfortable shoe. Love the fit. Only bad thing is that both shoes have started "squishing" on every step. Apparently the air bladders inside shoes have ruptured or something. Very annoying while walking around. This is the second pair of Nike shoes that have done this. I don't play ball or anything; these are just worn as a casual shoe. || Birkenstock - Boston Suede (Taupe Suede) - Footwear Great looks - bad fit - These shoes are so good looking and if they fit you properly, you are lucky. My problem was the toe box. I ordered up a 1/2 size and the shoe started flopping off. I'm mailing back the 1/2 size and keeping the original shoe I ordered. I'm hoping they will stretch. They have an excellent heel and can even be worn to work. I was thinking about those rainy days. Pumas and I have some problems with fit. Beyond the shoe, I must say that the customer service from Zappos was outstanding. || Birkenstock - Boston Suede (Taupe Suede) - Footwear Rockport Farren - Typical Rockport Dressport quality. The square toe makes my smaller, high-arched feet look longer and slimmer. Only downside is that for a W width, it's a bit narrower than the round-toed wing-tips I usually by in the Dressport line (e.g. Addington). I'd by one width wider next time. Zappos order processing was (as usual) superb, and lightning fast. || Birkenstock - Boston Suede (Taupe Suede) - Footwear My husband loves them - Great looking shoes, at the beginning we thought we will have to send them back. My husband has somewhat wide foot and he was hurt after wearing them for an hour. However he liked the look so much he wanted to try one more day. And it worked he has very comfy shoes now, he is playing street hokey twice a week in them and his mates liked them a lot too. Overall it was a great choice; just work them out for a couple days if you have wider foot. I hope PUMA could take it under consideration. || Birkenstock - Boston Suede (Taupe Suede) - Footwear Comfort and a great look! I received these shoes about 3 weeks ago and can't stop wearing them. They look great from jeans to casual looks. Comfort, great fit and look! These have a great base to them, so provide support in a 'today' fashionable look. I ordered a size 7, knowing that I might need to return them for a 7 1/2, but didn't need to - they fit perfect.
