The bumpy texture of the bottom (sole) feels good on your feet. The only negative thing about the shoe is the heel - it was stiff and cut into the back of my heel somewhat making it necessary for me to put band-aids on the backs of my heels to protect them! || Born - Carlisle (Coral Leather) - Footwear Exactly as promised. One negative, the strap where they are attached to the sole is fraying and it appears to be a stitching defect. I should have sent them back, but I just decided not to bother. Overall, I like ‘em. I had no discomfort except for the ugly appearance. I got used to that after a few wears. I've had ankle surgery and find it hard to get shoes that are comfortable. These are the first pair of sandals since my surgery 3 years ago that I can wear all day. Wore them at the beach and couldn't ask for a better shoe. They did rub a small blister because they were wet. Once they dried, not another problem. Great shoe.
