If you are patient enough to reconfigure the lacing on these, you've won half the battle. I probably wouldn't have had to work so hard at adjusting them had I paid attention to the other reviewers who stated that the shoes run VERY LARGE. They do. Definitely order a size down from your usual. The insoles on these are incredible, they really do feel like walking on marshmallows after you have worn them for a few weeks. I get stopped constantly by people wanting to know where I got them. Still, the lacing is a pain and in order for the shoe to fit correctly, you pretty much have to work on it to some degree every time you put your feet in them. If these didn't have a back and were just a slide, it would eliminate that. I have never worn them for water sports, but they are very grippy on pavement, rocks, clutch pedals, you name it. The insole is great, they are a unique-looking shoe, but overall pricey for what they are. || Born - Cielo (Black Leather) - Footwear Awesome shoes for women with feet, leg, or back problems!!! My mom has sciatic nerve damage from having two back surgeries, so she has constant pain in her legs and feet. These are the only shoes that have helped ease the pain. She has tried expensive name brand athletic style shoes and she still had to add extra support and they still hurt her feet and legs. She can wear these shoes as they are, without adding extra support, because they are so comfortable for her. These would be perfect for anyone who is on their feet most of the time or those who have problems with their feet, legs, and back... You will want to buy them a half size bigger than what you normally wear. || Born - Cielo (Black Leather) - Footwear How many ways can you say – love. This shoe is wonderful. I have bought the shoe in two different colors and get comments on both the red and the green. I would say the Cole Haan shoe overall is true to size. This shoe is no exception. The insole left my feet feeling fresh, even after a full day of teaching. A great shoe for anyone who's on their feet all day. So far, the padding has not lost its bounce. I got them in the pearl white - great for summer - and different from plain white. At first I thought they were too small until I re-read the description and found them to be molding rubber. This was good and bad. I got some calluses breaking them in and was uncomfortable until broken in… I had to do it in stages around the house. Also, every detail - hammer toes etc. shows through the shoe once it molds. Overall, I really do like these for the style - I have them in summer white. The soles are cool and different. He says he forgets he wears shoes at all, they are like air and very comfy. Great look and comfort for summer. Super speed on delivery. Great service. || Born - Cielo (Black Leather) - Footwear Chaco comfort - I like the shoe very much, however, am finding it hard to "break it in" in terms of getting the webbing to stay loose enough around the toe. I am constantly adjusting it. I even went swimming in them in hopes that thoroughly wetting them would help (I think it did somewhat). They do provide great sole support and help prevent slipping on rocks.
