The insole left my feet feeling fresh, even after a full day of teaching. A great shoe for anyone who's on their feet all day. So far, the padding has not lost its bounce. I was looking for a neutral slide and this is now the most comfortable shoes that I own. I bought a black pair to wear with dark-colored summer dresses, but I think they are too "heavy" a style, if that makes any sense. Too casual to be dressy, but a bit too awkward for jeans. These run small for Born sizes (or big? not sure if I have my direction right -- whichever way means that my feet usually drown in Born shoes, but these were actually smaller than I expected). I usually wear a 7.5. The Florin size 7/38 basically fits, but is a fraction of a centimeter too short. As there are no half sizes, the next size up is far too large. Comfort-wise, the slope is pretty steep. This is great in the sense that it makes the foot look smaller, but the toe part of the foot bed isn't as cushioned as the heel. I have had others and bottom line - fit, look, comfort, and durability are superior to any other sandal. I still have my first pair (3 years now) that I use to walk the beach.
