I addition, the striped fabric around the heel and the Sperry label are even more sources of irritation. I thought with the cork heel it would be much lighter. It's comfortable for the height but I don't recommend wearing for long periods of time. My problem was the toe box. I ordered up a 1/2 size and the shoe started flopping off. I'm mailing back the 1/2 size and keeping the original shoe I ordered. I'm hoping they will stretch. They have an excellent heel and can even be worn to work. I was thinking about those rainy days. Pumas and I have some problems with fit. These shoes are easy to put on, easy to take off, and seem to provide good arch support, which is rare in a sandal. My only issue is that the closures are a bit larger than necessary. The sandals still fit, but the sides don't match up exactly. In spite of that, the shoes stay on well and provide good protection for a sandal.
