Slightly modified from the original... The Half Cab "Pro" has a polyurethane insole (same as AV Sk8 Lo or the TNT 2 shoes) and just slightly more padding in the tongue. Both are good things! After more than 15 years, this shoe still holds its own in terms of boardfeel, protection, and style. I was having problems with my arches and wanted more arch support. My only concern was because they didn't cover much of my foot, they wouldn't support well enough. However, the strap tightens well and I seem to get enough support. Merrell runs large on me (I wear a 5), and the toe support sometimes doesn't feel like it's in the right place, but they're still comfortable. I like them more the longer I wear them and would recommend them. Great if you don't have many shoes but are on your feet a lot. It holds everything that I would want to carry. The only thing that I would change about the bag is the strap. The color is fantastic...a burnished gold/bronze and very soft supple leather that feels great immediately. Not much to the shoe but really something to look at and just perfect for shorts/skirts as a nicer alternative to flip-flops or with summer sundresses or could even dress up for dinner out in the heat wave we're having. Pricey but seem well made with good materials. Just love em.
