The platform under the forefoot enables me to wear these shoes. I love them! I'm heavy set and these things are amazingly comfortable. 4-8 hours of comfortable wear. Rarely do I get any sort of heel that's reasonably cute and comfortable. These shoes go with dress pants, suits, skirts, dresses, everything. They were very comfortable. My foot is narrow and I did not feel they were too wide. My only complaint is when I looked at the bottom of the shoe the next day, the soles of the shoe were very worn and I'm not sure if I will get many more wearings. If you wear a Euro 39, you should buy their 40, which translates into a 10! I have a narrow foot but can sometimes wear a medium if I go down a half size.
