I wear a size 11 and most athletic style shoes make my feet look even bigger. I think that's because many shoe manufacturers think a large-sized women's fit is the same shape as a man's foot, but that is definitely not the case: The proportions are totally different. J-41 seems to know the difference. In these shoes, my look almost dainty and feel as if they are being gently cradled. I have used driving mocs before but I wanted a sporty shoe. I first ordered a size 9. Too tight in the toe box and narrow. Reordered a size 9.5, a little better. Drove 7 hours, never did my foot slide off the pedal. Once again, I started getting pain in the toe box and the shoe felt like it was a visor. I could not wait to get out of the car and put my old Keds on. I did use them to drive back home. All I can say is try them if you like them. These were not super-comfortable out of the box; they took a couple of wearings to "break in." However, by the 3rd or 4th day...awesome! The gold is a little bright for me but I can live with it. I can wear 4 inch spike heels to dinner with fewer balance problems than with these shoes. I ordered the shoe in a Wide and they fit perfectly. Wore them to a formal dance and didn't need to take them off.
