I wear a size 11 and most athletic style shoes make my feet look even bigger. I think that's because many shoe manufacturers think a large-sized women's fit is the same shape as a man's foot, but that is definitely not the case: The proportions are totally different. J-41 seems to know the difference. In these shoes, my look almost dainty and feel as if they are being gently cradled. I absolutely adore these shoes. I got them in black and white. They are very comfortable. I've worn them with a dress to a wedding and with suits to work. It looks cute with shorts, capris or a skirt. Perfect overall summer shoe! I did have to order a double wide in this shoe instead of a wide, but Zappos was great about sending the replacement right out. They make it too easy to shop for shoes, especially if you have hard to find sizes like I do. I need a wide width and finding cute and comfortable shoes in Lexington in an 11 W is next to impossible. Nice clean sharp look creating the feel of a more formal sneaker, but remaining beautifully casual. Works well with various shades of khaki colored pants. Easy on/easy off like a loafer with the styling of a sneaker. Converse shoes are rather flat, so there's not much arch support with these, but there is enough cushioning so that my feet don't ache as terribly as they would with flip-flops or sandals. These have a really relaxed fit around the foot/toebox and they also run rather large. Helle is the only brand of shoes I have worn for years because this is the only brand that combines beauty and true foot health/comfort. My feet hurt terribly in all other dress/work shoes because I have flat feet and other foot challenges (probably from wearing women’s shoes all my life). Helle makes it a point to build in a REAL arch support. And of all the current Helle styles, this one is my absolute favorite. It is so cute and SO, SO, SO comfortable. I was searching for this particular Helle style when I discovered Zappos. I was surprised and thrilled to actually find these shoes - and then after I ordered them, I was delighted to discover that Zappos has GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am in shoe heaven!!! Very comfortable. I didn't have to take them off until the end of the reception and had been wearing them for 5+ hours at that point. Excellent shoe.
