Justin moved to Spanish Fort, Texas to become a boot repairman. H.J. was a quick study and soon began his own boot company working out of his home. The first ever Justin Boot customers were cowboys who were passing through. Ten years later a railroad was built in Nocona, Texas and H.J. moved his family and business there to capitalize on the bigger market opportunity. In 1908 Justin Boots became a true family company when his sons, Earl and Avis, came to work for their father. Two years later the company doubled its production and Justin Boots were sold in 26 states, Canada, Mexico and Cuba. Seven years after their father s death in 1918, the John, Earl and Avis moved the company headquarters to Fort Worth. I wore them cave exploring (in water), white water rafting, zip-lining, rappelling, horse back riding, and trekking through the jungle. This shoe was quite comfortable. I purchased it for my honeymoon and walked around quite a bit. The only SLIGHT problem was that if my foot was not entirely slid in, the top of the shoe rubbed on the top of my foot. These shoes are not only good looking but also extremely comfortable right out of the box. The leather straps are soft and don't rub or cut into the foot. And they are available in extra wide, which is extremely hard to come by! I took them on a cruise and after walking all day on excursions, I'd go back to the ship, change for dinner, and my feet were happy! || Justin: Justin Boots: Justin Women's Cute, comfortable, but my heels... ouch! That pretty much sums it up. These are expensive for a reason. They are very well made, have a great look, a comfortable footbed, and a sturdy sole. However... they cut my heels open every time. I wish I could get used to them as I've heard you're supposed to, but they are just painful. Very disappointing. I marked "half size larger" because I bought an 8.5 and have since been wearing a 9 and they still feel like they fit. || Justin: Justin Boots: Justin Women's A little wobbly... I absolutely love this shoe, but I can't seem to figure out why they're so wobbly. I can wear 4 inch spike heels to dinner with fewer balance problems than with these shoes. I ordered the shoe in a Wide and they fit perfectly. Wore them to a formal dance and didn't need to take them off. Did need to soak my feet the next day though... || Justin: Justin Boots: Justin Women's A less comfortable Easy Spirit - I like this sandal, but I wish the material used for the sole was more comfortable. There is not as much of a cushioning feel as I wish there was (it's more stiff). I tried this in 7.5 WW first because I'd been ordering shoes in W. Finding them too tight (normally I get a 7.5 W), I had to return this and as it seemed a little long... The color in the photo is a little off -- they are a little lighter blue, more like a faded denim.
