Ten years later a railroad was built in Nocona, Texas and H.J. moved his family and business there to capitalize on the bigger market opportunity. In 1908 Justin Boots became a true family company when his sons, Earl and Avis, came to work for their father. Two years later the company doubled its production and Justin Boots were sold in 26 states, Canada, Mexico and Cuba. Seven years after their father s death in 1918, the John, Earl and Avis moved the company headquarters to Fort Worth. The only negative thing about the shoe is the heel - it was stiff and cut into the back of my heel somewhat making it necessary for me to put band-aids on the backs of my heels to protect them!
