I ordered this shoe even though it’s a men’s. I have it in another color & needed a brown. They have a pretty decent arch support & the material that the shoe is made of is very comfy to walk on. I can wear them all day with no problems. There is no break in period. I usually wear an 8 1/2-9 in women’s so I ordered a 9 in men’s since that is what size my other pair are. They could be a tad bit smaller but still fit well. Since they are men’s, the strap is looser fitting than a women’s pair but it’s not a problem & doesn’t make the shoe too loose or sloppy or rub. I just returned from vacationing in England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales and never gave a thought to my feet because of the extreme comfort of this shoe. I like its light weight and foot support and would definitely recommend it to others. I have back problems and this shoe provided more relief than I have ever experienced in a walking shoe. These were not super-comfortable out of the box; they took a couple of wearings to "break in." However, by the 3rd or 4th day...awesome! The gold is a little bright for me but I can live with it.
