I was looking for a light weight mesh sneaker that would hold my orthotics and these are just perfect. Had several foot surgeries and my foot still swells after prolonged standing. The toe box has plenty of room both side to side and up and down. The mesh seems to have more give. I receive compliments on them every time I wear them. They are comfortable – as long as you're used to this heel size. I had a small issue at first with a slight rubbing in the top buckle area on the right foot, but after wearing them awhile, this problem went away. || Pleaser USA - Amour-03 (Black Satin) - Footwear Sandal that feels like a tennis shoe - Where else but Zappos can you find a 10 1/2 AA? Love these shoes - just wish they had an AAA. They are so comfortable that I find myself wearing them all the time. I really wanted them in bone, but no 10 1/2 was available in that color. I will ask to be notified when they are available in bone so that I will have 2 pairs. I got the camel color which is actually more of a subdued yellow. I would have liked them a bit narrower as I must velcro them all the way over which detracts from the appearance of the shoe. I teach 2nd grade and have had bunion surgery and I was able to wear this sandal all day (no break-in time). They are the true workhorse in my shoe wardrobe. I bought them to take to Italy last August for a BackRoads cycling tour of Tuscany. I like that the white is not too light, so I don't think there are transparency issues. I think the fabric is perfect for summer. And the cut seems to be very flattering. I did need to go a size down, but I bounce between small and medium in Patagonia. I'm small on top (34A) so the darts on the medium did not work for me.
