They took about a week to break in, esp. around the toe, but they did not rub enough to cause a blister. I got mine a year and a half ago and they are still going strong (got the green ones but that isn't enough - I want the black ones as well). If you like Puma, you will love these. The shoe size that I have now are a little bit too small (10, my fault), but its leather has adapted itself to my foot size - I may notice that they are too small after a day of use. I live in one of the most rainy cities that I know of. Still these keep my feet dry. They don't provide much of ventilation, but that has never been a problem either. Recommended? Yes. Don't hesitate buying these if you like their looks. They are for my husband. He says they are the most comfortable rollerblades he's ever worn and loves how smooth they are. We recommend them. These shoes are definitely adorable and look great on, but they are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever owned.
