Overall, the shoe is a very true fit. However, the toe area is a bit narrow, so beware if you have wide toes. (The width is a pretty true fit in the ball of the foot.) Comfortable given how high the heel is. I ordered this shoe even though it’s a men’s. I have it in another color & needed a brown. They have a pretty decent arch support & the material that the shoe is made of is very comfy to walk on. I can wear them all day with no problems. There is no break in period. I usually wear an 8 1/2-9 in women’s so I ordered a 9 in men’s since that is what size my other pair are. They could be a tad bit smaller but still fit well. Since they are men’s, the strap is looser fitting than a women’s pair but it’s not a problem & doesn’t make the shoe too loose or sloppy or rub. Reef Contour Smoothy is a great shoe!! || The North Face Kids - Boys' Betasso (Toddler/Youth) (Pacific Blue/Pumice Grey) - Footwear Great - I love the bag...plenty of room and sits nicely on the shoulder. || The North Face Kids - Boys' Betasso (Toddler/Youth) (Pacific Blue/Pumice Grey) - Footwear Comfort without the klunkiness - There is one stationary strap that goes across the top of the foot and if you have a high arch is a bit tight when you first wear them. I am hoping it stretches, but otherwise the sandal was comfortable right away. || The North Face Kids - Boys' Betasso (Toddler/Youth) (Pacific Blue/Pumice Grey) - Footwear Shockingly ugly in person -- nothing cute or delicate about this shoe at all. The footbed is extremely wide, so even though it's marked M/W, it really isn't for medium feet at all. The strap falls much lower on the ankle than is obvious from the picture, adding to the clunkiness. "Dark brown" is a muddy grayish-tinged brown under fluorescent lighting. I can't speak to the comfort because I had them on my feet for about five seconds before I packed them away for return. I do like Born, but the Gale is a miss in my book. || The North Face Kids - Boys' Betasso (Toddler/Youth) (Pacific Blue/Pumice Grey) - Footwear Great all-around shoe - I bought this shoe for my sister, who wears inserts. She wanted something that was comfortable enough to wear around the house but that would also have room for her inserts. She LOVES this shoe. She mostly wears it without the inserts since it's so supportive on its own, but it can also easily accommodate her orthotics. This is a woman who lived most of her life barefoot and cried when the doctor told her she'd have to start wearing shoes! For her to love wearing this shoe is really saying a lot. I'm going to surprise her with a second pair! || The North Face Kids - Boys' Betasso (Toddler/Youth) (Pacific Blue/Pumice Grey) - Footwear Always the best fit - This shoe is so incredibly comfortable that I used them right out of the box for a five mile walk. I took a spare pair, but didn't need them! Very comfortable. I didn't have to take them off until the end of the reception and had been wearing them for 5+ hours at that point. Excellent shoe.
